Truth is better than fiction, and lessons drawn from scenes in simple home life are best suited to our common wants. Will the young who accompany the author in these sketches ask themselves if there is not in their own home some work of love to do?

About the Book
Welcome to Sisters, and Not Sisters, a moral story originally published by the American Tract Society of New York in 1865. Sisters tells the tale of two acquainted familes, one financially poor but rich at heart, the other well-off but lacking in moral care. This cautionary tale follows the siblings in these two families - each consisting of a sister and a brother - and their trials of growing up under tempting circumstances.
New Tales to Tell
April 30, 2006. Chapter I: Willow Nook, Part A and Part B. I have reorganized Chapter One so that it will print in three or four pages per section, instead of two pages. This will allow me to write more of the story every week. I have added on to Part B, so you may continue reading there!
I hope to have a new chapter-part up every week. I have purposely designed this site to be easily readable when printed; each part should be three or four pages long. The original book is 5 inches (12 centimeters) wide by 7 inches (17.5 centimeters) tall and 246 pages long.
